Proper Cooking Instructions
To achieve the finest outcome, consider these instructions as a helpful reference. Nevertheless, keep in mind that every oven is unique, so use your good judgment and common sense to ensure they cook perfectly. ALL Pasties should be cooked from frozen.
1 - Pre-heat your oven to 10 minutes (see cooking temps & times below)

2 - Brush the sides and top of pasty or sausage roll with an egg wash.
3 - Put the pasty or sausage roll onto a lined baking tray and place it on middle shelf of oven.
4 - Cook for following times: (PLEASE REMEMBER - ALL OVENS COOK DIFFERENTLY)
Proper Large Cornish | 25mins on 180°C then 20mins on 160°C |
Proper Jumbo Cornish | 25mins on 180°C then 25mins on 160°C |
Other Pasties | 25mins on 190°C then 13mins on 170°C |
Proper Sausage Rolls | 30mins on 180°C |
Your pasty should be a golden colour and juice emerging from the hole on top. As per tradition, the Cornish pasty is rolled with raw ingredients, so ensure the veggies are not too firm and the meat is cooked. Should you notice the crust browning too quicky, simply cover it with baking paper and continue baking at a slightly lower temperature until done.
5 - Take your pasty out of the oven and let it cool for 10-15 minutes before digging in.
The filling will be piping hot, so exercise a little patience for that perfect bite! For the Jumbo Cornish, we suggest giving it 30 minutes to cool down before savoring it fully. Trust us, the wait will be worth it
